yowzers.

i am old today.

28 years old to be exact!

i cant spend all night counting my gray hairs and wrinkles though...the first episode of the last season of LOST airs tonight! best birthday present ever!

are you as excited about LOST as i am?

need a little refresher on the last five seasons?

LOST in 5 minutes:

Mad Men (and women)

when i was snoozing last night, jim was busy making Mad Men versions of us on the AMC website!

here's jim...

when i saw this picture this morning, i swear my heart exploded. it's so cute! but i don't know if i like the way joan is looking at my fiance...

i made one of myself this morning (looks almost exactly like the one jim made for me except i gave myself a cup of coffee in this picture)...

i actually do wear long gold necklaces over almost everything i wear and i am often seen carrying a cup of coffee so i have to say that this picture is so spot on that it might as well be a photograph.

Mad Men yourself here.

wishing i lived in the 60's (for the clothes. i can do without the glass ceilings and the constant fear of nuclear annihilation)

i have a super girl crush on Joan Holloway (played by Christina Hendricks) of Mad Men.

can we just talk about how gorgeous she is for a second? and her CLOTHES, omg. honestly, 75% of the reason why i watch Mad Men is for the clothes. i want to run out right now and buy one million pencil skirts. and possibly a corset.

p.s. - if you haven't seen Mad Men, the first two seasons are on DVD now and the third season starts on AMC next month. WATCH!

edamame on a sunday afternoon

jim and i had an early bird dinner tonight which is pretty awesome because now i'm all snuggly at home...eating cake and ice cream on the couch and bidding on muumuus on ebay. also we're watching Ice Age and i swear if that ray romano mammoth doesn't find another mammoth friend soon that i will knock the television over because life is just too cruel, man.

i always like a good crypt

to celebrate spring (hip hip hooray!), I wore my new flower headband today.

here's a picture of jim smelling the flower.

and because new headbands should be shown off, jim and i ventured out of the apartment to explore the clinton hill/fort greene areas of brooklyn.

we sipped on iced drinks (coffee for me, raspberry italian soda for him) at tillie's.

after our juice tanks were filled, we set off down dekalb to ooh and ahh at all the good stuff that's right near our apartment that we never knew about till we left the apartment.

jim was a good sport while i shopped around thistle & clover. i fell in love with the most delicious pair of sue london flats i have ever seen (gold metallic, lots of traction, come in their own cute gold bag).

we caught a couple minutes of a cricket game in fort greene park.

and we walked around a revolutionary war monument and a crypt.

after playing in the park, i dragged jim over to blue bass vintage where i tried on the most delicious pair of white boots from the 80's (think fringe and chains). i didn't buy them, but i did snag an adorable peach colored belt which will be perfect for all my summer cinching needs.

when we were all vintaged-out, we had omelets at maggie brown. i want to go back to stare at their gorgeous velvety black and gold wallpaper. and for their homemade desserts.

now i'm ready for a lazy sunday evening at home with my pea. (the tv isn't going to just watch itself you know.)

i haven't left the apartment since friday

happy presidents day! i randomly have this holiday off work so i am lounging on the couch and flipping between anthony bourdain's, No Reservations, and Platinum Weddings. i've actually been doing this all weekend, but i totally deserve it because someone pushed me down the subway stairs at 23rd and 6th on friday morning and i literally went crowd surfing on top a group of angry new yorkers. i'm still working up the nerve to go outside.

jim has to work from home today (his company hates all presidents apparently).

but at least he has a great view of the williamsburg bridge and the empire state building...

...and a super hot chick who hasn't changed her clothes in three days. :)

early birthday present

jim gave me with this t shirt as an early birthday present last night:

i get to wear Hugh Laurie's face on my boobs! awesome, right? i'm psyched to wear this bad boy with an oversized cardigan and leggings. it will probably become my new weekend wardrobe.

in other my-boyfriend-rocks news, jim stayed up till 2 doing all our laundry last night while i slept soundly under our marshmallow blanket. i woke up to piles of clean towels and undies and leggings and socks and it was amazing because our clothing situation was getting pretty desperate. yesterday i ran out of clean bras and wore a bikini top instead. half my friends are shocked right now that i even bothered but yeah, i wear undergarments now. i'm becoming quite the lady in my old age.

let's get LOST tonight (you can be my black kate moss tonight)

what are you doing this evening, hmm? well whatever it is, you'll have to cancel because...WE HAVE TO GO BACK.

LOST: Season 5 starts tonight. i think i just had an orgasm.
