last night after work i met jim at Blue Line for martinis and salad (me) and beer and mini tacos (him). it was 60 degrees. the sun was shining. the restaurant windows were open there was a nice little breeze.
it was perfection.
twelve hours later i wake up to this:

but! that's ok. i've said it before and i will say it again: i will gladly live through a chicago winter so that i can have a chicago summer. the street festivals, baseball games, rooftop cocktails, rooftop pools, picnics in the park, and outdoor concerts make march (and april. and sometimes may.) snowstorms worth it.
so i'm making the best of this little snowstorm. my plan for the day is to sip coffee, "surf the net" as they say, write thank you notes, cuddle with my hubs from the future, and maybe convince the hubs to take me to Goodwill in a zipcar.
