Tag, you're it!

i was tagged by the super talented Lindsey of Piggie in the Puddle for this survey. (i love surveys!)

Here it goes...

What's your current obsession? Growing out my bangs. I need some miracle grow for these bad boys.

What's your weirdest obsession? Oh let’s see…I love pushing back my boyfriend’s cuticles. (He doesn’t love it so much.)

What are you wearing today? black leggings, white tunic top, oversized gray cardigan, long gold heart shaped locket, black flats. I have worn this outfit maybe one million times and I still love it.

Why is today special? The 100th episode of LOST airs tonight! Holla.

What would you like to learn to do? I would love to be fluent in another language. Either Spanish (which would be probably be useful for life in general) or French (which would be helpful at work).

What's for dinner today? I’ll either fix garlic chili tofu with noodles or we’ll order in/go out. Decisions!

What's the last thing you bought? I managed to spend a surprisingly large sum of money at CVS. Our shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, and prescriptions all ran out at once and it was time to restock.

What's your favorite weather? Hot, hot, hot. I LOVE getting into a hot car after its been sitting in a sunny parking spot for hours. I’m a freak, I know.

What's your most challenging goal right now? Managing my stress! Ha ha, that sounds crazy because I really have nothing to be stressed about. I’ve just been traveling a lot so my sleeping and eating patterns are all out of whack and my mind is starting to feel it. Need a yoga class STAT!

What do you think about the person who tagged you? Lindsey is ridiculously talented! I know I already said that at the beginning of this post, but it's true. She posts pictures of her work on her blog and you can even buy some of her stuff on Etsy. (I wish I lived out West so I could have a custom mural painted on my wall. so awesome!)

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be? This question is impossible! I’m tempted to say something luxurious like Tuscany or Cape Town or Paris, but I think I’d have to go more practical and say Brooklyn Heights or DUMBO. This way Jim will still be able to do his journalism thang and we’ll both be close to family. Plus, Brooklyn rocks.

Favorite vacation spot? Any place with a sandy beach and a clear blue/green ocean. Bonus if the ocean is warm enough for swimming and there are those little planes in the sky pulling messages that say things like “$1 hamburgers at Marty’s tonight.” Those planes sound like summer.

What would you like to have in your hands right now? An iPhone. But the new iPhone, the one that’s rumored to come out this summer.

What would you like to get rid of? My split ends! Hair emergency over here!

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? I’d want to sit at Castaways on North Avenue Beach in Chicago with all of my Chicago friends.

What's your favorite thing about the city you live in? The best thing about NYC is the public transportation! (It can be frustrating, oh yes, but I’m more than happy to be car-free.) Also, I love that I can run down to the corner store at midnight for a diet coke (or whatever) because nothing ever closes. Also, Pinkberry.

If you had $150 now what would you spend it on? I’d pick a nice restaurant I’ve never been to and share a yummy meal with my boyfriend. If we had money left over, I’d splurge on a cab ride home to Brooklyn.

Do you admire anyone's style? Zooey Deschanel (how is she so cute?!) and Kate Hudson. (I kinda copied Lindsey with these answers, but those are two of my biggest style heroes too!) Also, Naomi from Rockstar Diaries and Nicole Richie.

Describe your personal style. Somewhat ridiculous. I pretty much live in dresses and leggings. I love layering jewelry.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off from work? Sleep in, hit up a new brunch spot, sit in a sunny park with my boyfriend and a good book, shop, cupcake, dinner date with Jim.

What are three live shows that you have seen? Had to go old school with this one…Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch (4th grade!), Bush with Veruca Salt (7th grade!), Busta Rhymes with Lauryn Hill (high school?) VERY excited about Billy Joel and Elton John at Wrigley this summer!

Now the rules of this tag:

1. Respond and rework: answer the questions on your blog, replace one question you dislike with a question of your own invention.

2. Tag 7 other people you would love to learn more about. Here's mine:

Kim from Life with Lily
Kelley from Living the Brooklyn Life
Meredith from You'd Make a Wonderful Dread Pirate Roberts
Nikki from The Bra Factory
Amy from Blue Jean Amy
Sharon from The Back Story
"Cheery" from A "Cheery" Disposition

Aw, thanks for the sweet props, friend! You are so loyal...I knew I could count on you. Can you believe you were the first to post this little tag?
I loved reading your answers and loved getting to know you just a bit better! Oh, and if you ever need a beach to visit, I'll trade it for NYC any day...can you believe I've never been there?

I used to share that obsession! Obviously, not with Jim though :)

Stay tuned for survey results.

And to add to Lindsey's comment: I've never been to NYC either! I'm about to move to the Caribbean... let's trade!
