our pool/cocktail time in vegas was nicely balanced with a trip to the hoover dam (and the atomic museum!) with my brother and matt. i have to admit that before this trip, my knowledge of the hoover dam was 100% limited to what i learned in Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (great movie, btw). but now i know lots about the hoover dam! the most important thing to know? they don't sell water at the visitor's center, so if you visit in july--when it will inevitably be 108 degrees--bring water!
