a girl (woman? weird.) that i went to high school with--who i haven't spoken with in 12 years, but we played field hockey together and we're still friends on Facebook--recently posted something on her timeline that i lovelovelovelovelove.
If you take good care of yourself, you help everyone. You stop being a source of suffering to the world, and you become a reservoir of joy and freshness. Here and there are people who know how to take good care of themselves, who live joyfully and happily. They are our strongest support. Everything they do, they do for everyone.
i think i've been noodling this same thought over and over again for a while, but i haven't known how to articulate the feeling fully. i don't know who said it or where it's from, but there it is. love it!
NOW i realize that not everyone is fortunate enough to have access to resources that would allow them to be "a reservoir of joy and freshness" to the rest of us...but those of us that do, should. truth.

Such a vivid truth. I've always found it difficult to put into words, but she said it perfectly. :) Wise.
Ok, this is pretty amazing. I am going to re-post, if it's cool with you:)
